The inner material is therefore woven in such a way that it is able to wick moisture to the surface of the outer material, which has quick-drying properties and evaporates moisture very efficiently. The inner material is brushed on the inside, which further enhances its warming ability and is very comfortable in contact with the skin.
As fleece jackets in general are very often used as a mid-layer under a waterproof jacket, the outer material is very soft and smooth to make putting extra layers over this jacket as easy as possible. This smooth outer surface is also very pleasant to the touch.
