Introducing the Gosau family of jackets, including our first women's parka!

Four new pieces have been added to our product portfolio, all under the collective name Gosau. They are the successors of the popular Alta and Narvik winter jackets, with a few improvements, an urban design, and one extra surprise.

The Narvik and Alta jackets were among the very popular products. If anything defined them, it was their warm synthetic fill. There were also plenty of other features and options to customize the jacket to your liking.

The Narvik and Alta jackets, therefore, had a firm place in our portfolio, but we assessed that we could take them to the next level. And that's what led to the creation of jackets that deserve a name of their own.

Introducing our first parka ever!

In the Gosau family, we have a women's jacket, a men's jacket, a children's version, and one big new addition among the new arrivals - our very first women's parka ever.

A regular parka-type jacket is not the optimal choice for the mountains due to its cut, which is why we have avoided parkas until now. The long cut restricts movement, a limitation that is not optimal for mountain environments.

However, we've often seen Narvik and Alta jackets on you in the cities, and we realized that their outdoor-tested features belong on the streets, too. Where parkas naturally belong too. So we started looking for a way to connect these two worlds.

We, therefore, modified our Gosau W Parka and shortened the front zip so that it doesn't significantly restrict movement and is therefore also suitable for easier winter hiking.

Can withstand a downpour

Like their predecessors, the Gosau jackets in all variants have a warm synthetic filling. The jacket warms up beautifully, lasts a long time and its functionality does not change even in wet conditions.

The most significant difference is the outer material of the jacket - while the Narvik and Alta jackets had water-resistant properties, i.e. they were able to withstand lighter rain, with the Gosau models we have replaced the outer layer with a double-layer membrane material that doesn't let even a drop of water through. All Gosau models, therefore, protect even in the heaviest downpour, which is also helped by taped seams. They are therefore well-prepared for the rainy weather.

When selecting the colors, we opted for timeless and muted tones. We avoided unnecessary design flourishes that could quickly become tiresome and that would be difficult to combine with the rest of the outfit. Ladies have a choice of four colors, gents three and two color options are available for children.

As a result, these are jackets that offer everything their beloved predecessors did, but with more upgrades and tweaks, while maintaining a fair price.
